The Blender Guru series that I followed is a set of comprehensive tutorials by Andrew Price (aka Blender Guru) that guide Blender users through the creation of detailed 3D models. For example, the Beginner Donuts Series, updated in 2022, taught me the basics of Blender in a simple, step-by-step manner, while the Anvil Series offered a more advanced guide on how to create a high-quality 3D asset that can be used in a game or rendering. The Anvil Series covers modeling, detailing, and texturing, including base and boolean modelling, sharpening edges, UV unwrapping, sculpting details, baking a perfect normal map, and texturing the model.
My Guru Series includes small projects that I undertook when I first began learning Blender's toolset. I followed Blender Guru's tutorials closely, focusing on mastering new techniques within the software such as particle systems, Blender's baking process, and compositing.
I frequently revisit these tutorials because Blender Guru regularly updates them to incorporate and explain new features in Blender. This practice helps me stay current with the software's latest capabilities, thus continually enhancing my skills and understanding of Blender.
